Christophe Linares joins Woog as partner

Linares will reinforce Woog’s practice in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities law. He advises clients on complex strategic transactions, both domestic and cross-border, with recognised experience in the OHADA region. His expertise covers high-level financing transactions (haut de bilan), restructurings, private equity operations, as well as governance and stock market regulatory matters.
Before joining Woog, Christophe Linares spent several years at the US firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he developed a strong practice in M&A and capital markets. In 2023 he founded Altarion Avocats, a boutique dedicated to mergers and acquisitions, which he led until his arrival at Woog.
He holds a Master II in Business Law and Taxation from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and an LL.M. in Company Law from University College London. He has been registered with the Paris Bar since 2017.
