Grant Thornton Société d’Avocats appoints Romain Dayan as partner in VAT and indirect tax

Romain Dayan, 42, holds a Master II in Applied Taxation from Paris XII University (2006) and has been registered with the Hauts-de-Seine Bar since 2011. With nearly 20 years of experience, he began his career in 2006 at EY Société d’Avocats, joined Fidal in 2011 and moved to KPMG Avocats in 2019, where he was appointed Director within the indirect tax department.
He advises French and international groups on complex VAT and other indirect tax issues, including flow mapping, analysis of deduction rights, implementation of e-invoicing and e-reporting, and coordination of international VAT projects. He assists clients during tax audits and in VAT litigation, works in sectors with significant regulatory and fiscal stakes such as transport, industry, automotive and energy, and advises business leaders and investors on indirect tax matters related to acquisitions of high-value goods.
Since 2012, Romain Dayan has taught in the Master II Business Tax Law program at University Rennes 1 and has published numerous articles on indirect taxation and VAT audits.
