Charles Russell Speechlys strengthens Swiss tax capabilities
"Charles Russell Speechlys appoints Frédéric Ney as tax partner in Geneva to bolster its Swiss and cross-border tax practice, focusing on national/cross-border taxation, estate planning and UHNW family advisory."
Ney joins the firm from Bär & Karrer in Geneva, where he had been a senior associate since 2023. He is a specialist in taxation, advising on both domestic and cross-border tax matters as well as estate planning for Swiss and international clients. He advises UHNW families on cross-border issues and has substantial experience in corporate taxation, notably in reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions, financing structures and incentive plans. He is admitted to the Swiss and New York bars and holds the Swiss certified tax expert qualification. Ney works in English, French, German and Spanish.
Michael Lingens, regional head for continental Europe, said Ney’s skills and market network make him a strategically ideal addition for the firm’s long-term growth in Switzerland and across Europe, reinforcing client-focused development for international families and cross-border matters. Michael Wells-Greco, head of the Swiss offices, noted that the firm’s Switzerland private client and tax team now comprises ten professionals and that Ney’s arrival strengthens their Swiss tax capabilities to offer transactional tax services, tax advice and tax litigation to national and international clients.
