An avocat admitted to the Paris Bar, Julien Bocquet practices common criminal law and business criminal law. He defends both accused persons and victims before all criminal jurisdictions and has substantial experience in emergency criminal defence, regularly intervening at the earliest stages of proceedings, notably during police custody and the preparatory investigation. Skilled in procedural matters, he raises nullities when necessary to protect his clients’ fundamental rights. He is a member of the Association des Avocats Pénalistes (ADAP).
Holding a Master’s degree in private international law from Université Paris I Panthéon‑Sorbonne and an LL.M. in comparative private law from the Université de Montréal, Bocquet began his career in the Litigation, Arbitration and Business Criminal Law department of August Debouzy, where he handled complex international business criminal matters. He adopts a strategic, anticipatory approach to help clients identify and manage criminal risks and works on compliance, delegation of authority and internal investigations to prevent criminal exposure. He is regularly retained as seconded counsel by CAC 40 groups, notably in the oil and aerospace sectors, advises French and foreign clients in civil and commercial litigation before French courts, and teaches criminal law at Université Paris I Panthéon‑Sorbonne.
