Diamana Diawara joins Talex International as partner to strengthen international arbitration practice
"Talex International hires Diamana Diawara as partner in its international arbitration practice, bringing expertise in arbitration, African matters and sectors including energy, construction and natural resources."
Diamana Diawara is a recognised figure in arbitration. She has acquired significant experience within the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), where she played a key role in training African public and private actors to strengthen their use of alternative dispute resolution methods. She has worked to improve the inclusion of African practitioners in arbitral proceedings and in the institutional infrastructure of international arbitration. Her expertise spans both mandates as arbitrator and as counsel and aligns with the firm’s multicultural, multilingual working methodology. She said she looks forward to contributing her experience, notably in Africa, to assist clients in their most complex disputes, including in sectors such as energy, construction and natural resources, and to working alongside Pierre to further develop the young firm.
Pierre Daureu, founding partner of Talex International, described Diawara’s arrival as a key step for the firm, citing her unrivalled expertise, experience within leading international institutions and deep understanding of African issues as a major strategic asset. He emphasised that she shares the firm’s commitment to humanity, independence and rigor, values that guide their interventions, particularly in high-stakes political and economic matters defending sovereign or public interests.
