Eglantine Lioret is a lawyer since 2001, specialized in tax and customs law with a focus at the intersection of real estate taxation and corporate tax. She holds a DESS in Business Law and Taxation from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas (1999) and the Paris Bar certificate of specialty in tax and customs (2005). Lioret began her career at LPA Law (2000–2010), then joined Wragge & Co (now Gowling’s) from 2010 to 2015, where she participated in the firm’s establishment in France as an associate co-founder. She led the French tax practice at Herbert Smith Freehills in 2015, recreated the tax department for Pinsent Masons in Paris in 2019, and in 2021 joined the independent French firm Desfilis with her team. She will lead the new tax team at Squadra Avocats. Lioret has taught tax law at the Bar Training School since 2021 and is a member of A3F, IACF and the International Fiscal Association.
Anna Seegers joins Squadra Avocats as a member of Lioret’s team. Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2024, she trained in business and wealth taxation (Master 2, Université de Bordeaux) and joined Desfilis in 2024 after an initial professional experience in Luxembourg. Seegers works on corporate, M&A and distress operations within the team.
Gaëlle Surmely joins Squadra Avocats as a member of Lioret’s team. A lawyer since 2022, she holds a Master 2 in tax law from the Université de Bourgogne. She has been part of Lioret’s tax team since 2021, initially as a trainee lawyer at Pinsent Masons and then as a collaborator at Desfilis before moving to Squadra. Surmely handles corporate, real estate and wealth-related tax matters within the team.
