Simmons & Simmons strengthens Paris capabilities with Thomas Le Gueut joining as of counsel

A professor of private law at the University of Montpellier, Dr. Thomas Le Gueut brings an academic and operational profile to the firm. He holds a doctorate in law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, is agrégé in private law and holds the CAPA. Rattached to all departments of the firm except employment law, he will intervene mainly in support of teams and work across litigation, corporate law, financial markets, financial services and taxation. He also co-directs the Master in Banking and Finance and directs the Certificates of Specialized Studies in corporate law (DJCE) at the Montpellier Law Faculty, which he joined in 2024.
Registered with the Paris bar since 2018, Thomas Le Gueut began his career at Veil-Jourde and then joined Simon Associés as of counsel. He arrives at Simmons & Simmons in the capacity of of counsel, where his academic expertise will support the firm’s lawyers in legal analysis, structuring complex reasoning and research and drafting on high-stakes matters.
