Grant Thornton Société d’Avocats strengthens indirect tax and VAT practice with Robin Maubert and Romain Dayan

Robin Maubert, 42, joins Grant Thornton Société d’Avocats as a partner and co-head of the indirect taxation department. He holds an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a Magistère in Business Law, Taxation and Accounting, and a Master II in Business Law and Taxation from Aix-Marseille University (Aix-Marseille 3). Registered at the Hauts-de-Seine Bar since 2011, he brings nearly 20 years of experience in indirect taxation acquired in international multidisciplinary firms. Maubert began his career in 2007 in the VAT department of EY Société d’Avocats, joined the international division of Fidal in 2012, and moved to Deloitte Société d’Avocats in 2018. He advises French and foreign groups on VAT, payroll tax and other indirect taxes, and works on the structuring of international flows, restructurings and M&A, management of audits and tax litigation, and coordination of multi-country and multidisciplinary projects. He holds recognised sector expertise in financial services and has contributed to major recent reforms (VAT group, management of real estate funds, selective VAT option for financial services, and the overhaul of administrative doctrine in insurance). Maubert regularly speaks at international legal conferences and has published numerous articles on indirect taxation and financial VAT.
Romain Dayan has also been welcomed into the partnership at Grant Thornton Société d’Avocats. The firm’s announcement presents him, together with Robin Maubert, as an expert in indirect tax and VAT.
