A lawyer for twelve years, Mathilde Varet advises clients in France and internationally in criminal and corporate business litigation, in tax criminal law and in civil liability litigation. She is recognised for her expertise in investigations conducted by the Parquet national financier and by other independent administrative authorities. She also acts in pre-litigation, negotiated procedures (CJIP, CRPC, etc.), internal investigations and on matters related to reputation protection, compliance and the duty of vigilance.
Her experience is international: she has worked with French and foreign companies on matters involving jurisdictions in Switzerland, Monaco, Africa, Central America and South America. Multilingual, she speaks French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Mathilde Varet holds an LL.M. in comparative criminal law from Trinity College Dublin, a Master 2 in general private law from Université Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne and a certificate in criminology and penal sciences from Université Toulouse I – Capitole.
