Coudray Urbanlaw appoints Raphaël Romi as of counsel in Nantes

A professor emeritus of public law, Raphaël Romi is a recognized figure in environmental law. Holder of a European chair in environmental law, he founded the Master’s program in environmental law at the University of Nantes and is the author of a reference textbook in the field. He became a lawyer in connection with the Erika affair and for many years has advised local authorities and companies on issues related to sustainable development, biodiversity, the circular economy and renewable energy. His expertise also covers local government law, in which he regularly conducts training. His career has included roles as an elected official and ministerial advisor, participation in the creation of project companies and local public companies, and involvement in the drafting of legislative texts. After many years at the Paris Bar, Raphaël Romi joins Coudray Urbanlaw to reinforce the firm’s expertise in public law and environmental law.
