TGS France Avocats appoints Marc Abane as partner to lead digital law practice in Lille

Aged 37, Marc Abane brings a career located at the intersection of law and corporate operational issues. Installed in Lille for around ten years after beginning his career in the Paris region, he offers a dual background as a former in-house counsel and now as an avocat.
Marc Abane holds a Master in e-commerce and digital economy law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (2012) and a Mastère spécialisé in law and international management from HEC Paris (2013). He began his career in Morocco as a jurist with the TotalEnergies group. On returning to France he joined Roquette Frères in Lille, where he spent three years working on the structuring of IT contracts, notably in the context of the entry into force of the GDPR.
He then spent seven years at BNP Paribas within the group legal department, where he developed recognised expertise in IT, sourcing, data protection and digital transformation and served as referent for IT procurement. After being called to the bar, he joined TGS France Avocats as an avocat associé.
At TGS France Avocats he will assist a varied clientele — including pharmaceutical laboratories, incubators, startups, software publishers, developers and entrepreneurs — on complex matters of new technology law, notably the drafting and negotiation of IT contracts, issues related to artificial intelligence, major digital projects, GDPR compliance and cybersecurity.
