Cécile Gaubert joins De Gaulle Fleurance

Gaubert has developed recognised expertise in the space sector over the course of her career. She spent 15 years at Marsh, where she was head of the contracts and claims service in the aviation-space department. After qualifying as a lawyer, she founded and led a law firm dedicated to the space sector for seven years, before joining the space startup Exotrail in 2022 as General Counsel and a member of the executive committee.
At De Gaulle Fleurance she will support private actors across their activities on regulatory and contractual matters, and on issues relating to cyber, data and intellectual property. She will also advise public actors on the drafting of space laws and, more broadly, on the development of space law internationally, in particular on the African continent.
Gaubert is active in the professional community: she is president of the space commission of the SFDAS (Société Française de Droit Aérien et Spatial), and a member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), the European Center for Space Law (ECSL) and the executive committee of the IDEST (Institut du Droit de l’Espace et des Télécommunications).
She holds a DESS in Business and European Union Law from Faculté Jean Monnet (Paris XI) and a certificate in space law from the European Center for Space Law.
