Fieldfisher France strengthens tech and data practice with partner Frédéric Sardain

Frédéric Sardain is a recognised lawyer in digital law who has for many years advised leading players on major technological transformation projects. He joins Fieldfisher as a partner and intervenes at all stages of projects, from design to operational implementation, across the financial services (banks, insurance, funds, fintech), health, technology, media and energy sectors on their digital, contractual and regulatory issues. Sardain’s activity is organised around three main areas: IT and digital transformation projects, with particular expertise in IT contracts, negotiation, project governance and technology litigation; digital risk and compliance, covering personal data protection (GDPR) and non‑personal data (Data Act), cybersecurity (NIS2, DORA), artificial intelligence (AI Act) and the internet of things (CRA), both in advisory work and in litigation; and platform and e‑commerce law, including intellectual property issues related to tech (AI, software, databases and domain names). He holds a doctorate in law, teaches at Université Paris 1 Panthéon‑Sorbonne, is co‑author of the Traité de droit civil du numérique and serves as an arbitrator at the Arbitration Center for Internet Disputes; he also has experience as a former video game developer.
Claire Allavena and Maxime Seiller join Fieldfisher’s Paris office as collaborators alongside Frédéric Sardain. No further details on their prior positions or areas of practice were provided in the announcement.
