Valérie Ravit brings twenty-five years of experience. She began her career at Norton Rose in the Litigation and Insurance department, then joined Bouckaert Ormen Passemard Sportes, where she became a partner in 2006. Since 2015 she had been a partner at Squire Patton Boggs before joining Herald as a partner.
Ravit specialises in insurance, civil liability, defective products and environmental risks. She advises insurers specialising in major risks and leading industrial groups, notably in the pharmaceutical and environmental sectors. She is recognised for her expertise in the civil and regulatory issues linked to the environment and health products and intervenes in the management of complex serial claims and international matters, in particular those involving British and American parties.
Herald partners say Ravit’s skills will complement the existing team, which until now has been strongly focused on advisory work and complex litigation in life insurance and fraud, and that her arrival should drive substantial development of the practice given forthcoming synergies. Herald’s co-managing partner also noted that her recognised expertise and international experience fit the firm’s growth strategy and will help consolidate its presence with clients in France and abroad.
