Desfilis strengthens Litigation practice by welcoming Dorothée de Bernis

Dorothée de Bernis practises business litigation for French and international clients, handling complex and sensitive disputes. Her work includes commercial and high-stakes insolvency litigation, shareholder conflicts, contractual and tortious liability (notably professional liability), corporate litigation, contract and competition matters, debt recovery and enforcement, fraud cases and high-stakes succession matters.
She has developed particular expertise in banking litigation, representing French and European financial institutions, and has significant arbitration experience on market cases. She assists clients in mediations and before civil, commercial and arbitral courts as well as regulatory authorities, and regularly supports the drafting and analysis of high-stakes contracts.
Dorothée de Bernis brings a dual French and Anglo-Saxon legal culture formed during seven years in the United Kingdom, including two years at Herbert Smith in London. She began her career at Herbert Smith before joining the firm Carbonnier Lamaze Rasle in 2006. She has been admitted to the Paris Bar since 2006 and is a former member of the English bar. She holds dual master's degrees in French and English law from King’s College and the Sorbonne and a DEUG in History from Université Paris X – Nanterre. She also served as president and vice-president of the international alliance MARCALLIANCE for seven years.
