Pérez-Llorca appoints five partners in Lima and Lisbon

In Lima, Pérez-Llorca has appointed Arturo Tuesta, Paola Saavedra and Ronald Vargas as partners in its tax practice. All three previously held partner roles at a Big Four firm in Peru and bring with them a team of 13 professionals, including lawyers and accounting and taxation specialists. These are the firm’s first partner appointments in Peru following the merger between Miranda & Amado and Pérez-Llorca.
Arturo Tuesta has 34 years of experience advising companies in Peru on M&A and wealth management transactions and previously served as Head of Tax at one of the Big Four firms in the country. He joins Pérez-Llorca as a partner in the tax practice.
Paola Saavedra specialises in advising wealth management clients and infrastructure and energy companies on tax compliance and tax audit procedures. She previously held a partner role at a Big Four firm in Peru and joins Pérez-Llorca as a partner in the tax practice.
Ronald Vargas advises companies in the financial, property and agro‑industrial sectors, with expertise in international taxation, tax audits and litigation. He previously held a partner role at a Big Four firm in Peru and joins Pérez-Llorca as a partner in the tax practice.
The three new partners join Pablo Sotomayor, who has 25 years of professional experience, 21 of them at the firm, forming a tax practice in Peru.
In Lisbon, Pérez-Llorca has appointed Luís Roquette Geraldes and Martim Teixeira as partners.
Luís Roquette Geraldes will head the firm’s new Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) practice. He previously worked as a Corporate and M&A partner at a Portuguese firm, where he also headed the start‑up and venture capital team and coordinated the Private Equity department. His practice focuses on emerging companies and private capital, particularly in the technology and life sciences sectors, and he has led funding rounds in more than 20 jurisdictions, advising high‑growth companies and international and local funds on cross‑border transactions. He joins Pérez-Llorca as a partner to lead the ECVC practice.
Martim Teixeira strengthens the Tax practice in Portugal, particularly in tax litigation. He joins as partner with 15 years of experience advising foreign investors and multinational groups on domestic and international investment transactions and on the tax structuring of M&A deals, private equity transactions and complex financial transactions. He also has experience in tax litigation, representing clients before the tax authorities and Portuguese courts.
