DLA Piper appoints Gary Anderson as Partner in Insurance practice in Boston
"Gary Anderson joins DLA Piper's Insurance practice in Boston as a Partner, bringing senior insurance regulatory experience from his roles as NAIC CEO (2024–25) and Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner (2017–24)."
Anderson served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) from 2024 to 2025 and was Commissioner of Insurance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 2017 to 2024. He brings senior-level insurance regulatory experience and established relationships across the insurance industry.
At DLA Piper he will advise insurers, reinsurers and other industry participants on complex regulatory and compliance matters, disputes and insurance-related investment activity amid increasing regulatory scrutiny, applying a technical perspective that supports insurance entities and financial institutions worldwide.
