Shah brings more than 25 years of experience advising clients around the world on high‑stakes arbitration matters. He is a Chambers-ranked International Arbitration attorney and a Legal 500 Leading Partner in International Arbitration. Shah joins Crowell as a partner from Morrison & Foerster’s London office, where he served as Global Head of International Arbitration and Head of the Africa Desk. He was previously a partner at Kirkland & Ellis and spent several years working at leading law firms in Kenya before relocating to the UK.
He specialises in international arbitration and will strengthen Crowell’s experience on matters spanning Africa and the Middle East. Shah has advised on disputes in Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait, among others, and also regularly advises on sanctions-related disputes.
