DLA Piper appoints Craig Silverwood as Head of Transfer Pricing for Asia Pacific

Craig Silverwood joins DLA Piper’s tax practice from MinterEllison, where he served as National Transfer Pricing Leader. He will head the firm’s Asia Pacific transfer pricing capability. His sector-diverse experience spans technology (including data centres), automotive, energy and resources, FMCG, financial services, pharmaceuticals and real estate. He has led some of the largest transfer pricing disputes in the Asia Pacific region and was formerly an economist at the Australian Taxation Office, providing him with insight into audit approaches and policy direction.
Cynthia Vasanthanathan will join DLA Piper as a senior associate on 1 September and will be part of the Asia Pacific transfer pricing team.
DLA Piper said transfer pricing remains a core growth engine for its tax practice and noted that Silverwood will join a global team of more than 50 transfer pricing economists and lawyers as the firm expands its transfer pricing and tax controversy capabilities in the region.
