Pestalozzi hires Matthias Courvoisier as partner in Zurich

Courvoisier joins Pestalozzi as partner and co-head of capital markets alongside Christian Leuenberger in the firm’s corporate and M&A practice, effective 1 September 2026. He moves from Baker McKenzie, where he spent more than 25 years from 2001.
A capital markets specialist, Courvoisier advises issuers, shareholders, boards of directors, financial institutions and investors on equity and debt capital markets transactions, public takeovers, corporate governance matters and both domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. His experience includes work on the first Swiss-listed SPAC and the initial listings under the China-Switzerland Stock Connect program, and advising listed companies, banks, investors and entrepreneurs on IPOs, rights offerings, bond issuances, liability management transactions, public M&A and strategic acquisitions.
