Clifford Chance hires Thyl Hassler to bolster private capital energy and infrastructure practice

Hassler is a highly experienced private equity infrastructure lawyer who advises leading financial sponsors, infrastructure funds, sovereign wealth funds and other investors in the energy and infrastructure sector on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, carve-outs, co-investments, joint ventures and strategic alliances.
His experience spans a broad range of core infrastructure asset classes, including renewables, power and utilities infrastructure, battery storage, transport, digital infrastructure and hybrid infrastructure investments. He joins Clifford Chance from White & Case.
His appointment further enhances Clifford Chance’s global private capital, energy and infrastructure capabilities. Since May 2025 the firm has added seven lateral partners across New York, Paris and Luxembourg to expand its private capital platform globally.
