Greenberg Traurig Adds Lisa E. Schaures as Corporate Shareholder

Schaures joins Greenberg Traurig from Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Seattle. She brings a transactional corporate practice advising companies, investors, nonprofits, and family offices. Her work guides companies through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital markets transactions, corporate governance matters, restructuring, and commercial contracts. She regularly acts as outside general counsel for growing companies and counsels clients across industries including technology, government contracting, health care, housing, business services, construction, and private equity, supporting emerging and middle-market companies pursuing growth in the United States and internationally.
Her experience also includes counseling private equity investors on joint ventures and affordable housing acquisitions; advising government contractors on major commercial agreements, executive compensation, and governance matters; and advising on tax-sensitive transaction structures, family office governance and succession planning, philanthropic initiatives, and nonprofit governance, fundraising, compliance, and merger-related matters.
Deeply involved in the Pacific Northwest community, Schaures has served on the board of the YWCA of Seattle-King-Snohomish since 2015, including a term as board chair. She holds a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law, and is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington.
