Simpson Thacher & Bartlett Welcomes Murray Cox as Partner in London Energy and Infrastructure Practice

Murray advises financial sponsors, listed companies and other institutional investors on cross-border M&A, U.K. and European take-privates, infrastructure investments, corporate governance, ESG and corporate finance matters. He joins from Weil Gotshal and will enter Simpson Thacher as a Partner in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice.
His arrival follows the hire of energy transition Partner Eleanor Milne, who joined the firm’s London office in 2025, and Energy and Infrastructure Partner David McKendrick, who joined earlier this year.
Simpson Thacher’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice advises a broad range of clients, including funds and corporates, through all stages of the investment cycle within the energy and infrastructure sector.
