Mr. Elmore brings more than three decades of experience at the Federal Trade Commission, where he most recently served as Senior Antitrust Counsel. He is experienced in antitrust enforcement, merger review and competition policy, and has played a significant role in investigations and matters across industries including technology, healthcare, energy and manufacturing. His work has included leading merger investigations and litigation, negotiating structural and behavioral remedies in complex transactions, and coordinating with competition authorities in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea on cross-border merger reviews and related antitrust matters.
Prior to his long service at the FTC, Mr. Elmore served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he handled more than 30 bench and jury trials, including cases involving assault, narcotics and intellectual property. He joins Squire Patton Boggs from the Federal Trade Commission, where he held the role of Senior Antitrust Counsel, and enters the firm with the seniority of Of Counsel.
