Engelberg brings more than 20 years of experience and will strengthen Bichara Advogados’ transactional practice, which spans over 20 areas including corporate/M&A, capital markets and banking. She has extensive experience in structuring investment funds—including FIPs, FIIs, FIDCs, FIAGROs and infrastructure funds—alongside work on public offerings and regulatory advisory for asset managers and portfolio managers. Engelberg also has a background in M&A, private equity and structured corporate transactions, with experience in governance, compliance and regulatory matters before the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), B3 and the Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association (ANBIMA). She joins Bichara Advogados as a consultant, having previously worked at Machado Meyer.
Commenting on the move, Engelberg said the increasingly sophisticated investment environment demands legal solutions connected to business strategy, and that she aims to combine technical knowledge, regulatory insight and an understanding of each client’s business.
