Greenberg Traurig Adds Shirin Mirdamadi-Tehrani as Intellectual Property Associate

Mirdamadi-Tehrani is a registered patent attorney who counsels technology and life sciences companies on patent prosecution, portfolio strategy, and intellectual property due diligence. She regularly drafts and prosecutes U.S. and Patent Cooperation Treaty patent applications across mechanical, robotics, chemical, software, and medical device fields, and manages end-to-end IP strategy for client portfolios. Her practice includes leading invention harvesting sessions with engineers and business stakeholders, preparing and prosecuting office action responses, conducting examiner interviews, managing foreign filing strategies, and performing IP due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions. She joins Greenberg Traurig with the title of associate.
David J. Dykeman and Terence P. McCourt, co-managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office, said her engineering background and registration before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office provide technical fluency that will benefit clients.
Mirdamadi-Tehrani earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is admitted in California and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to beginning her legal career, she worked as a mechanical engineer in the defense and aerospace industries.
