Seyfarth Shaw LLP Adds Nathan Muyskens as White-Collar and Trial Partner in Washington, DC

Muyskens focuses on white collar criminal defense, government investigations, complex commercial litigation, and regulatory enforcement matters. He represents corporations, financial institutions, boards of directors, senior executives, and other high-profile individuals in sensitive investigations and disputes involving the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, Congress, and other domestic and international regulators. His matters often involve significant reputational, operational, and business risk, including antitrust, sanctions, cybersecurity, market manipulation, internal investigations, and parallel civil proceedings.
Muyskens joins Seyfarth from Greenberg Traurig LLP, where he served as co-chair of the firm’s White-Collar Defense & Investigations Practice. Earlier in his career he held several public service roles, including Associate Independent Counsel, Trial Attorney in the FTC Bureau of Competition, and Counsel to U.S. Senator Robert J. Dole.
From his Washington base, Muyskens will help expand Seyfarth’s commercial litigation, white collar, investigations, and crisis management capabilities across the firm’s national platform. He earned his JD from the University of Kansas School of Law and his BA from the University of Virginia.
