Cescon Barrieu adds tax partner in Brasilia
"Cescon Barrieu has appointed Marcelo Braz as a partner in its Brasilia Tax practice. He will work on tax and social security matters, including litigation, strategic tax consulting and recovery of social security credits."
Braz brings more than 17 years of experience in tax and social security law. He advises clients on payroll and social security taxation matters, with a focus on administrative and judicial tax litigation and strategic tax consulting. Over the course of his career he has handled disputes involving social security contributions and other federal taxes.
At Cescon Barrieu, Braz will continue advising domestic and multinational companies on strategies to prevent and reduce tax contingencies, recover social security credits and assess tax-related risks across multiple industry sectors.
With this addition, Cescon Barrieu’s total partner count rises to 78, and the Tax practice now comprises 10 partners across the firm’s offices in Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasilia.
