Estudio Rodrigo bolsters mining and environment team with partner Dufour and two associates
"Estudio Rodrigo adds partner Miyanou Dufour and associates Sebastian Saavedra and Flavia Alvarado to its mining and environment team in Lima."
Miyanou Dufour joins Estudio Rodrigo as a partner in the Mining and Environment practice. She has almost 20 years of experience advising clients on the development of mining projects and providing strategic advice on permitting and complex regulatory issues. Dufour is a Trustee at Large of the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law and Programme and an Officer of the IBA’s Mining Law Committee. She is active in organizations promoting women’s participation in the legal profession, including WIP Peru, WAAIME Peru and WIM Peru, and mentors young lawyers. She holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru.
Sebastian Saavedra joins as an associate in the Mining and Environment practice. He has more than 12 years of experience in mining and environmental law, focusing on strategies to obtain government authorizations, defence in administrative sanction proceedings before OEFA, OSINERGMIN and ANA, and legal due diligence in M&A and financing transactions. He holds an LL.M. in Mining Law and Policy from the University of Dundee (CEPMLP), obtained with distinction.
Flavia Alvarado joins as an associate in the Mining and Environment practice. Her work focuses on environmental and mining regulatory compliance, support in inspection proceedings and regulatory risk management, and the development of legal due diligence for the acquisition of mining assets. She holds a law degree from Universidad de Lima.
