Clifford Chance appoints Matthew Jones as Debt Finance partner in Houston to strengthen Energy and Infrastructure financing

Jones counsels public and private borrowers, private equity sponsors and lenders in complex financing transactions, with an emphasis on matters involving energy, infrastructure and other capital-intensive industries. He also advises clients on the financing aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and other business combinations. His appointment strengthens Clifford Chance’s leveraged and infrastructure finance offering in the US and globally.
Jones’s arrival marks the fourth partner hire for Clifford Chance’s Houston office since May, joining a growing team that recently welcomed litigation and arbitration partners J. Laurens Wilkes and Caitlin Gernert and finance and derivatives partner Carter Olson.
