Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton Adds Partner Jonah Mitchell to San Francisco Patent Litigation Team

Mr. Mitchell joins Kilpatrick from Reed Smith, reuniting with patent litigators Seth Herring and Christine Morgan who also joined the Firm earlier this year from Reed Smith. He is described as a leading intellectual property and commercial trial lawyer whose practice encompasses patents, trade secrets and complex commercial disputes across a range of industries and technologies. He has led multiple trials and arbitrations in prominent patent venues, including the Northern District of California, the Eastern District of Texas, the Eastern District of Virginia, the Middle District of Florida, and the International Trade Commission.
Mr. Mitchell’s experience covers computer hardware and software, networking equipment, cloud computing, cybersecurity, database and data integration software, integrated circuits, WiFi chips and devices, Ethernet technology, MEMS sensors, medical imaging software, medical devices, and outdoor sports and recreation products. His clients include companies in the high-technology, health care, manufacturing, and consumer goods sectors. He served as Co-Hiring Partner for his previous firm’s Northern California offices for nearly 15 years and is recognized by IAM Patent 1000 and the Daily Journal as a top patent practitioner and top intellectual property lawyer in California. He holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and a B.S. in Agricultural Business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
