Hogan Lovells Cadwalader adds Joanna Suna as New York structured finance partner

Joanna Suna has joined Hogan Lovells Cadwalader as a Structured Finance partner in the firm's New York office. She joins the firm from Mayer Brown.

Suna focuses her practice in structured finance, with significant experience in collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and structured products, including synthetic credit-linked repackagings and rated note feeders. She has guided clients on a wide range of transactional and regulatory issues involving CLOs, securities repackagings and other complex structured products, and has experience with different types and uses of swaps, warehousing and funding facilities, and secondary repackagings of related products.

She joins as a Structured Finance partner from Mayer Brown and is a legacy Cadwalader alumna, having worked at Cadwalader on two separate occasions, including immediately prior to joining Mayer Brown.

Her arrival is the second Structured Finance partner to join the firm in the past month, underscoring Hogan Lovells Cadwalader’s continued investment in its market-leading CLO capabilities; the firm has advised on over 110 CLO deals valued in excess of US$50 billion in the past year.

Suna received her JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, an LLM in Taxation from the New York University School of Law, and a BA from Cornell University.
