Burns is a partner with more than 20 years of experience advising private capital investors and corporates on complex, high-value cross-border M&A and joint ventures across the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has advised private capital investors, corporates, platform companies and developers on M&A, joint ventures, capital raises, divestitures and major project development.
His practice spans the full spectrum of energy and infrastructure, including midstream and upstream oil and gas, renewables, biogas, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, battery storage, as well as digital infrastructure, transportation infrastructure and other large-scale infrastructure assets. He is broadly recognised in the legal industry, including in The Legal 500 for Oil & Gas (2020–2026) and Chambers UK, Energy & Natural Resources: Oil & Gas (2018–2026).
