Greenbaum brings nearly two decades of experience advising international technology companies and emerging growth clients on patent prosecution, IP transactions, trademarks and design, and privacy matters. He is experienced in building and managing global patent portfolios, counseling on trademark, copyright and brand protection, and drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements including software licensing, SaaS, master services, consulting, and assignment agreements. He counsels clients on protecting and commercializing innovations where intellectual property, data rights and regulatory considerations intersect, and advises on AI technology agreements and licensing. Greenbaum has worked on trademark and patent portfolio analysis and due diligence for strategic transactions, provided litigation support through infringement and invalidity analyses, discovery responses and technical summaries, supported post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and co‑founded a cloud‑based platform to automate patent drawing review and analysis. His practice emphasizes emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems and vehicles, IoT ecosystems, robotics, advanced sensors and data‑driven infrastructure.
Before joining Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP as a partner, Greenbaum served as Senior Counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP in New York, where he managed worldwide IP prosecution strategies, coordinated filings across multiple jurisdictions, advised on IP due diligence and evaluated IP assets for mergers, acquisitions and technology transactions, and reviewed privacy and data considerations in commercial agreements.
Greenbaum received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.E. and M.E. in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
