Debevoise & Plimpton adds partner Karen Chao to Investment Management Group in New York
"Debevoise & Plimpton has hired Karen Chao as a partner in its Investment Management Group in New York to advise private equity firms and alternative asset managers on private investment funds."
Ms. Chao advises private equity firms and alternative asset managers on the formation, structuring and operation of private investment funds, as well as on firm governance and economic arrangements. She is joining Debevoise at the partner level.
Prior to joining Debevoise, Ms. Chao was a partner in the New York office of another international law firm. She received her LL.B. from the University of Sydney in 2005 and her B.A. from Queen's University in 2001.
