Cleary Gottlieb Welcomes Raunaq Niqui Kohli as Head of Energy & Infrastructure Group

Based in New York, Kohli joins Cleary from a large international law firm where he was a partner. He will lead the firm’s multidisciplinary Energy & Infrastructure Group, working closely with colleagues across M&A, private equity, debt finance, real estate, capital solutions, tax and funds on energy- and infrastructure-related transactions. Kohli is ranked by Chambers USA and Chambers Global for his work in energy and was recognized as a Law360 Rising Star. He represents technology companies, including hyperscalers, as well as infrastructure and investment funds, utilities and independent power producers on complex, high-value transactions, from multi-gigawatt power supply arrangements for major data center campuses to multi-state utility and power M&A, minority stake sales and joint ventures. His practice spans digital infrastructure, renewables, transmission, storage and natural gas, including LNG, and includes a sophisticated understanding of regulatory frameworks before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and state public utility commissions.
