Paul, Weiss Adds Life Sciences Transactions Partner in San Francisco
"Ian B. Edvalson joins Paul, Weiss in San Francisco as a partner in the Corporate Department, focusing on life sciences transactions including licensing, collaborations and IP aspects of M&A."
Edvalson advises public and private biopharmaceutical, medtech and life sciences companies on the full range of transactions that support the development and commercialization of their products and services, including license and collaboration agreements, intellectual property aspects of M&A transactions and other commercial agreements. He joins Paul, Weiss as a partner and has been recognized by Chambers USA for Life Sciences: Corporate/Commercial — California since 2021 and previously from 2007 to 2014. He holds a B.A. in Korean and a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
Firm leaders welcomed his arrival, noting that his experience across life sciences transactions and his commercial and strategic approach to IP matters will strengthen the firm’s growing Intellectual Property & Technology Transactions practice.
