Hogan Lovells Cadwalader appoints Tyler Williams as Senior Advisor in Government Relations & Public Affairs

Williams brings more than 15 years of experience in digital assets, financial services policy, banking regulation, and government affairs. He most recently served as counselor for digital assets to the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and was Treasury’s first official dedicated exclusively to digital asset policy. In that capacity he led Treasury’s efforts on GENIUS Act implementation and helped advance the CLARITY Act in Congress. At Hogan Lovells Cadwalader he will advise clients on legislative, regulatory, and government engagement strategies.
Prior to his role at Treasury, Williams was Global Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Counsel at Galaxy Digital. He previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and held senior staff roles with members of both the Senate Banking Committee and the House Financial Services Committee. He also serves as an adjunct professor at The George Washington University Law School and holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. from Kenyon College.
