Browne Jacobson appoints Professor Clive Kay as strategic adviser to health and life sciences team

Professor Clive Kay brings almost 40 years of experience working in the NHS, including 17 years as a consultant radiologist and more than a decade in trust leadership. He retired this year as Chief Executive of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, a role he held from April 2019 during which he led the organisation through the COVID-19 pandemic. In his new role at Browne Jacobson he will serve as a strategic adviser and industry-aligned expert to the health and life sciences team, working with senior partners to support the firm’s work across public sector, independent health and care, international, life sciences and medical malpractice matters.
Prior to King’s, Prof Kay progressed through senior roles at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, advancing from Clinical Director of Radiology and Medical Director to Chief Executive. Earlier in his career he was a Visiting Associate Professor of Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, served as a Member of Council of the Royal College of Radiologists, and was chairman of both the Royal College of Radiologists’ Scientific Programme Committee and the British Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
