Barry previously worked in the U.S., Paris, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the Global Projects groups of Clifford Chance and Watson Farley & Williams. He is widely recognized for his work on large-scale international project development and financing across mining and metals, oil and gas and other natural resources, and on power and infrastructure projects in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, and is ranked by Chambers Global as a leading expert for international project development and financing and for Energy & Projects (Africa‑Wide).
He advises sponsors, developers, equity investors, traders, public entities and financiers on complex project development and financing matters, with a particular focus on emerging and growth markets. His arrival forms part of Baker Botts’ recent expansion of its international platform across the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
