Baker Botts Adds Alex Bond as Special Counsel to Strengthen Environmental Regulatory Practice

Bond brings over 15 years of experience in federal environmental regulation, legislative engagement, and energy policy. He will join Baker Botts’ environmental and energy regulatory practice at the Special Counsel level. He most recently served as Executive Director, Legal & Clean Energy Policy at the Edison Electric Institute, coordinating strategic engagement across federal agencies on climate and energy issues affecting U.S. investor-owned power companies. Previously, Bond served in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of General Counsel in the Air & Radiation Law Office and held roles at the National Mining Association and the Ozone Transport Commission, where his work focused on air and climate policy.
