Simmons & Simmons appoints Tjerk de Jonge as Partner in Amsterdam Corporate practice

Tjerk joins Simmons & Simmons after more than a decade at Clifford Chance, where he specialised in corporate and Asset Management & Investment Funds (AMIF) transactions. He brings a broad transactional practice focused on financial investors and cross-border work, advising private equity sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on fund formation, M&A and complex cross-border deals. Over his career he has acted for major international sponsors and institutional investors and has more than 14 years of experience working as a candidate civil-law notary.
His practice at Simmons & Simmons will cover acquisitions and disposals, restructurings, governance arrangements and fund structuring. Tjerk’s arrival is described as strengthening the firm’s AMIF and Financial Institutions sectors in the Netherlands and enhancing its ability to support private equity sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on complex cross-border corporate and fund transactions from Amsterdam and across its international network.
