Nantes Mello Advogados appoints two partners to lead Employment and Labor practice
"Nantes Mello Advogados names Matheus Cantarella Vieira and Beatriz de Albuquerque Tuono Coutinho as partners to build its Employment and Labor practice, advising on labor litigation, compliance and HR-aligned strategies."
Matheus Cantarella Vieira joins as a partner with experience in individual and collective labor litigation — covering judicial, administrative and union-related matters — as well as advisory work and labor due diligence. He has led litigation portfolios focused on reducing labor contingencies through risk assessments and preventive measures. Matheus holds a Master’s degree in Political and Economic Law from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, an MBA in Business Management, Economics and Corporate Management from ESALQ/USP, and a postgraduate degree in Labor Law from PUC‑SP. He previously worked at other law firms before joining Nantes Mello.
Beatriz de Albuquerque Tuono Coutinho joins as a partner with experience drafting defenses and appeals, representing clients at hearings and oral arguments, preparing legal opinions and advisory memoranda on labor matters, and developing strategies for collective bargaining and union negotiations. Beatriz holds an LL.M. in Tax Law from Insper and a specialization in People Management and Labor Compliance from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). She previously worked at other law firms before joining Nantes Mello.
The new partners will develop an Employment and Labor practice integrated with the firm’s other practice areas and aligned with clients’ business operations, working closely with Human Resources departments to understand each company’s operational and strategic needs.
