Cleary Gottlieb Strengthens Bicoastal Litigation Team with Partners Anna Naydonov and Alex Talarides

Anna Naydonov will focus on IP litigation. She represents some of the world’s largest technology companies and household-name brands in intellectual property and advertising disputes involving AI, copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets. A first-chair litigator, Naydonov has been at the forefront of consequential AI copyright disputes, representing leading AI developers, and has unique experience trying cases to successful outcomes before judges and juries. She routinely litigates IP, advertising, privacy, and consumer protection cases, represents clients in high-stakes consumer class actions, and advises on AI, Web3 and blockchain, Communications Decency Act, and Digital Millennium Copyright Act issues.
Alex Talarides will focus on securities litigation. An emerging leader in the Northern California securities litigation bar, he represents companies, underwriters, boards, and senior executives in securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits, M&A litigation, and other shareholder-related disputes. Talarides also regularly advises public companies and their boards on corporate governance matters, including fiduciary duties and disclosure risks, and his clients have included some of the world’s largest technology companies.
Naydonov and Talarides are the firm’s 14th and 15th partner arrivals in 2026, underscoring Cleary Gottlieb’s investment in its civil litigation capabilities. They join today in the Litigation practice by counsel Kyle Smith, who focuses on IP litigation and is based in Washington, D.C.
