Arnold & Porter Strengthens Seattle Life Sciences and Technology Transactions Team with Partner Ken Miller

Ken brings more than 25 years of experience leading complex, high-value, multiparty transactions in technology, life sciences, and global health. He joins Arnold & Porter from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he served for over a decade and most recently held the role of Deputy General Counsel. In that position he led legal strategy for the foundation’s $1.8 billion global health portfolio and structured transactions that transformed development, manufacture, financing, and delivery of therapies, including a global tuberculosis vaccine program now in Phase 3 clinical trials.
Prior to his decade at the Gates Foundation, Ken spent 17 years in private practice at an Am Law 100 firm, where he built a technology transactions practice focused on strategic licensing, IP acquisitions, investments, collaborations, and M&A across life sciences, semiconductor, and software industries. He has also served as a law clerk to the Washington State Supreme Court and the Washington State Court of Appeals.
He enters Arnold & Porter as a partner in the firm’s Corporate & Finance practice, joining the Life Sciences and Technology Transactions teams and taking up residence in the Seattle office.
