Verrill Dana LLP Welcomes Business Restructuring and Insolvency Associate Nimra Tariq
"Verrill Dana LLP has hired Nimra Tariq as an Associate in its Business Restructuring and Insolvency Group in Boston; she will work on restructuring and insolvency matters."
Tariq will work with Verrill’s Business Restructuring and Insolvency team to assist clients in navigating complex legal and business challenges. She joined Verrill earlier this year and was recently admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
During law school, Tariq gained experience on corporate and transactional matters at a boutique law firm and held compliance roles at financial institutions. She has also worked with clients through pro bono projects, including Sanctuary for Families’ Courtroom Advocates Project and New York Law School’s Marriage License Project, representing victims of domestic violence and identity theft.
Tariq served as Editor-in-Chief of the Family Law Quarterly, overseeing publication of several issues of the journal of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. New York Law School honored her with the Dean’s Award for Student Leadership and the Alexander D. Forger Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession. Tariq holds a law degree from New York Law School and an undergraduate degree from The George Washington University.
