Latham & Watkins appoints Samantha McGonigle as partner in London M&A and Private Equity practice
"Latham & Watkins hires Samantha McGonigle as a partner in its London M&A and Private Equity practice. She joins from Hg and will work on sponsor-side leveraged buyouts and technology-focused transactions."
McGonigle advises private equity sponsors and other investors on a broad range of complex transactions, including leveraged buyouts, M&A, minority investments, joint ventures, and strategic investments and dispositions, with particular experience in technology-driven and software-related investments. She will join Latham & Watkins at partner level.
McGonigle joins Latham from Hg, a leading investor in European and transatlantic technology and services businesses, where she served as Partner and General Counsel, overseeing a broad range of private equity transactions and strategic initiatives across Hg’s platform and managing legal, regulatory, compliance, and governance matters. Prior to Hg, she held senior roles in private practice and the investment industry, including co-founding the European growth equity firm Farview Equity Partners, where she had operational and investment responsibilities, and began her career in private practice.
