Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld Strengthens International Arbitration Group with Hires of Kabir Duggal and Felipe Nazar Pagani
"Akin Gump has hired Kabir Duggal and Felipe Nazar Pagani as international arbitration partners in New York; they will join the firm’s International Arbitration Group, with Duggal focusing on investment arbitration and Nazar Pagani on Latin America-related disputes."
Kabir Duggal focuses on international investment arbitration and public international law, serving as arbitrator, mediator, legal expert and counsel. A renowned academic, he is recognized as a chartered arbitrator and has sat in more than 70 arbitrations. He is also a senior fellow and advisor to the Center of International Commercial and Investment Arbitration at Colombia Law School. Duggal joins Akin from Arnold & Porter.
Felipe Nazar Pagani advises multinational companies, investors and sovereign entities in high‑stakes cross‑border disputes, with a particular focus on Latin America. He represents clients across sectors including energy, infrastructure, construction, mining and telecoms, and serves as vice president of the New York Chapter of Club Español de Arbitraje. Nazar Pagani joins Akin from Perez‑Llorca.
Both lawyers are the latest additions to Akin Gump’s growing International Arbitration Group.
