Maraschino is a leading advisor on complex labor and employment matters and joins Akin Gump’s Labor & Employment Litigation practice as a partner. She regularly leads defenses of wage-and-hour class and collective actions, discrimination claims and termination challenges before federal and state courts and arbitration panels. She has significant trial and arbitration experience, has secured successful defenses through related appeals, and advises employers on dealings with labor unions. She has also represented organizations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Maraschino has been recognized on the National Law Journal’s Employment & Discrimination Law Trailblazers list in 2023 and 2024 and named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Leaders of Influence: Labor & Employment Attorneys.
In addition to litigation, Maraschino serves as an in-demand counselor, providing strategic advice to major companies on issues including matters related to mergers and corporate transitions. She maintains a niche practice advising the home offices and charitable foundations of celebrities and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on labor and employment issues arising from their personal teams and philanthropic endeavors.
