Becker-Pollet brings more than a decade of experience working for senior appropriators in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. She most recently served as clerk and subcommittee staff director to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government, where she was the lead staff member for the Democratic Caucus, managed a team of four and oversaw approximately $30 billion in annual appropriated funds. She previously served as a professional staff member on the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee and has worked for former House Appropriations Committee Chair Nita M. Lowey and former Representative Carolyn B. Maloney.
At Akin Gump she will work within the firm’s lobbying & public policy practice with a focus on appropriations and federal funding. She joins the firm from the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, where her prior senior role was clerk and subcommittee staff director.
